Our fundraising goal over the next two years is to raise $25,000 for the DiCarlo Bartoo Ross Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund has provided financial aid to gifted children for summer workshops and educational programs, and we would like to expand the range and
scope of this by establishing a larger and self-sustaining Educational Foundation.
If you would like to make a donation to assist NOLEDG in its efforts to provide summer enrichment scholarships for North Olmsted gifted students, please print out the Donation Form and mail your gift today to: NOLEDG, 23356 Olmsted Dr., North Olmsted, OH 44070.

If you are interested in making a small or even a significant donation to NOLEDG, but are unsure of the tax consequences of such a gift, we have some resources for you to help in your decision making. The IRS Form 526 is a terrific resource. This publication explains how to claim a deduction for your charitable contributions. It discusses organizations that are qualified to receive deductible charitable contributions, the types of contributions you can deduct, how much you can deduct, what records to keep, and how to report charitable contributions.
There are many ways to give if you are unable to volunteer effort because of time or physical limitations:
A cash donation is one of the simplest and most effective ways to give. The cash gets put to work immediately and is used directly for the benefit of the children who NOLEDG supports.
Do you have appreciated securities that would result in a taxable event to you if they were sold? An example of how you may give appreciated securities (stock or other similar assets), maximize your tax deduction and potentially reduce the capital gains, as opposed to giving cash, is demonstrated in this excellent presentation from the
Planned Giving Center, LLC.
Need help on calculating the results of YOUR SPECIFIC gift?
This page from the
Cleveland Foundation will take you to the stock calculator button to help you customize your situational gift.
There are many other methods to leave a legacy such as giving of qualified plan assets, appreciated property, or life insurance.
